The Higher Education Commission HEC Pakistan is set to conduct a Special Equivalence Examination for Law Graduates of Foreign Universities (SEE-Law Graduates of Foreign Universities/Institutions, recognized by HEC/PBC are required to pass the SEE Law before appearing in Law Graduate Assessment Test LAW GAT which is mandatory to apply to the Bar Council for enrolment as an advocate. Online application are invited from desirous Law Graduates who have obtained their law degrees from HEC/PBC recognized foreign universities/institutions. The registration process involves filling out an online form and submitting the necessary documents, including academic transcripts and a valid CNIC. Candidates who successfully complete the registration process will be eligible to take the SEE Law exam, which will be conducted in multiple cities across Pakistan.
HEC SEE Law Registration Online
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the registration process for the 2024 Special Equivalence Examination (SEE) Law for Foreign University graduates. Candidates who have completed their law degree from a foreign university can now register for the exam online through the HEC website. The SEE Law exam is designed to evaluate the equivalence of foreign law degrees with Pakistani law degrees, and is an important step towards gaining admission to Pakistani law schools or practicing law in the country. - SEE Law will be held as per approved syllabus available at HEC website.
Test Type
- The Test will be based on multiple choice questions (Mcqs) only.
Date of Examination:
- Test test will tentatively be held on April 28 2024. Any change in test date due to unavoidable circumstances shall be communicated to candidates through www.hec.gov.pk and www.etc.hec.gov.pk.
- Applicants who register through HEC ETC online registration process will be able to download their roll number slip from ETC website.
Detail of Examination Centres
- The test will be conducted the federal and provincial capitals. Applicants may select an examination centre from the list available in the application form.
- Once selected the centre will not be changed.
How to Register for SEE Law Test
- Visit HEC website for online registration.
- In case of difficulty during online registration visit onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk
- Only submitted applications will be considered. Applications in save or incomplete mode will not be entertained.
- Test free of Rs. 5000 is to be deposited via 1 link 1 bill invoice participation Banks/ATM/JazzCash/Upaisa.
- Click on 1 bill invoice payment service and enter the consumer number generated by the ETC portal. Once you see the details pay the amount.

Other requirements
- A 50% score is required to qualify SEE Law as specified by PBC.
- Applicants will have to meet other criteria, if any as per the rules & Regulations of the PBC.
- Applicants will have a maximum of five chance to clear the examination. HEC will conduct the examination twice or on a quarterly basis as needed.
