The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) will soon announce the results of the 2024 Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT). This nationwide exam, conducted under PMC’s supervision and managed by various provincial universities, saw over 200,000 students from Pakistan and abroad participating. The test was administered in each province by a university in that field: University of Health Sciences UHS Lahore, Khyber Medical University KMU Peshawar, Dow University of Health Sciences DUHS, and Bolan University of Health Sciences. The PMC Self-Scoring System was launched this year. Previous to the implementation of the Self Scoring System, both NUMS and UHS used different methods for determining team and individual performance. Each student receives a carbon copy of the MDCAT answer sheet, and the answer key is released on the same day it is distributed. After the keys have been distributed, each applicant can independently determine his or her score using the carbon copy of the response form and the corresponding key.

The PMC must jointly announce the outcome of both MDCATs as ordered by the court. Not only that, but on the same day, we’ll be announcing the merit list for all applicants. After the national merit list is released, the nums merit list will be made public. One merit list will be released by each clause. Nearly 126,000 test takers take the MDCAT at one of 200 locations nationwide. PMC and NTS were responsible for overseeing the test facilities.
